We are glad to offer a great resource for those doing
genealogy research. Please use the search forms below to search two
separate obituary databases. The first search box will access the "Meigs County Obituaries Index".
The second search box will access the "Bedford-Lodi Obituary
Index". These are two distinctly
different databases so be sure to search both databases for your best chance for
finding information.
The databases contain over 13,000 entries.
If you find useful information during your search you can then use this data to contact the Chester Courthouse
staff and retrieve the Obituary information from the volumes.
There is a $3 charge for the first obituary and $1 for
each additional obituary. There will a $1 discount for members of
Chester-Shade Historical Association (CSHA).
Obituaries can be ordered by contacting Kaye Fick at
kayefick@windstream.net. Once
you have the obituary information you obtained from our databases please include
the Volume # or Page # in your email. We will make arrangement for

Latter Day Saints CD's
The Chester-Shade Historical Association has the
complete 30 CD collection of the Latter Day Saints
Genealogical Archives. This includes both the Pedigree
Resource File as well as the Family History Resource
File.
Pedigree Resource Files:
These records are stored on 30 CD's found in two volumes
in our library. CD's 1 thru 25 are in the first volume
and CD's 26 thru 30 are in the second. On these CD's,
you can search either the Master Index or the Pedigree
Index.
